Minutes to decimal hours: the formula

Divide the number of minutes by 60. 15 ÷ 60 = 0.25 hours; 30 minutes is 0.50 hours; 45 minutes is 0.75 hours.

Some values repeat: 10 minutes is 0.1666… hours, shown as 0.17 to two decimal places. Add original minutes before rounding a total, because adding several rounded values can introduce a difference.

Is 90 minutes 0.90 hours?

No. 90 minutes is 1.50 hours, or 1 hour 30 minutes. Decimal hours measure fractions of an hour, not the digits on a clock.
